“You’ve got to do everything you can to protect them”
Renata is a firm believer in health insurance being used proactively to ensure a better quality of life for her family.
Renata has always been a strong advocate for health insurance, and now with two young children, including a newborn daughter, she’s more committed than ever to keeping Southern Cross. "It's my most important expense," she says. "I prioritise it over everything else. It's about taking care of yourself and your family without the worry."
One of the moments that solidified her trust in health insurance was during a recent breast biopsy. "It’s a relief that I can get that sense of assurance and certainty," she explains. "That’s worth all the money in the world to me."
When her daughter was born, Renata acted quickly, adding her to their policy just hours after her caesarean. "You’ve got to do everything you can to protect them," she says. Being a new parent has sharpened Renata’s focus on her personal health and making decisions with the goal of being there for her family. "It makes me the happiest I’ve ever felt, but it also makes me think more about my own mortality, knowing my kids depend on me."
